When installing SQL Prompt after upgrading to SSMS 22, the following error message may appear:

This may occur if you run installers as a different account (e.g. admin account) rather than your normal user account.
When running the installer, it looks for imported settings under the account that is executing the installation. If you previously ran the Import Settings wizard under your normal user account, as a result, the installer can't detect those settings.
There are two ways to resolve this:
- Run SSMS under your admin account. You should be prompted to go through the Import Settings wizard. Complete the process, then re-run the SQL Prompt installation.
- Copy the SSMS 22 settings folder found in your normal user account over to your admin account. The exact path is: C:\Users\<your normal user account>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SSMS\22.0_32efa6f5. Once the folder is copied over, re-run the SQL Prompt installation.
If the issue persists, please raise a support ticket.
