Hey Friends,
We’re launching SQL Data Privacy Suite (SDPS) today, Jan 31st, to help our customers protect sensitive data as it moves through their SQL Server estate. SQL Data Privacy Suite contains SQL Estate Manager, SQL Provision, SQL Backup Pro and SQL Monitor.
SQL Estate Manager is a new product that enables users to automatically discover SQL Servers throughout their estate and classify servers, databases, tables and columns that contain sensitive data. Organizations can track changes to the data estate, see who has access to PII data, and generate reports for proving compliance.
SQL Provision replaces sensitive data with anonymized, yet realistic data for dev and test. And puts in place a repeatable, transparent, and auditable process for provisioning database copies for development.
SQL Backup Pro centralizes the management of backup and restore activities to protect against accidental loss of user data, database corruption or hardware failures.
SQL Monitor provides a central web-based interface for viewing all SQL Server instances, availability groups, clusters, and virtual machines. It monitors the availability of servers and databases containing sensitive data and alerts users to issues that could lead to a data breach before it happens.
Our aim is to become the leading vendor of a solution for protecting and maintaining privacy of relational data from the beginning of the software development life cycle through to Production. With the GDPR coming into force in May we’re confident SQL Data Privacy Suite will help organizations build ‘privacy by design’ into their workflows and ensure the ongoing protection of data.
The new product page for SQL Data Privacy Suite will be live shortly at
www.red-gate.com/products/dba/sql-data-privacy-suite (please check it out and send me your thoughts). As you will see, SQL Data Privacy Suite, like SQL Provision, is purchasable as an annual subscription.
There’s a development team looking into how to improve the integration between the tools and I’m sure we’ll be reaching out for help with research and testing over the coming months so if this is something you’re particularly interested in then please let me know.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply here or drop me an email at

Cheers,
James
