Can't attach Azure SQL Database to Source Control

Hi,

when I'm trying to connect my Azure SQL Database to SQL Source Control, I only get this error message:
"SQL Source Control can't access this database. Make sure the database is online and you have permission to access it."

I'm running SSMS V17.9.1 with SQL Source Control 7.0.6.8775.

Please give me some advice, which permissions are needed or what else to do, to set up Source control on an Azure SQL Database.

Can you help me please?

I'm afraid SOC doesn't support Azure databases.

Is this because by default azure DB provisioning does not give access to master?
Because honestly this I would not accept that as a response for such a premium product.

I can't really speak to that - everyone is entitled to their opinion.

In our experience most people develop locally, and deploy to Azure using a deployment tool such as SQL Compare. If you'd like this to be supported in SOC you can post on the uservoice here: https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control.

Is this now supported in the latest version? I thought I read something somewhere that we could do this now, but can't find that sentence again. (and in the uservoice I don't see any requests, so guessing it was resolved.)

    Hi,
Is this still something that cannot be done with Source Control?
