Root element is missing

You may see the 'root element is missing' error if one of the XML files in %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 11 has become corrupted.

To fix it, follow these steps:

1. Open File Explorer and paste %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 11 into the address bar.
2. If you've created any custom formatting styles or snippets, copy the Styles and Snippets folders to a safe location so you don't lose them.
3. Uninstall SQL Prompt.
4. Delete the contents of %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 11.
5. Reinstall SQL Prompt.
6. If you backed up custom styles or snippets in step 2, copy them back into the newly created Styles and Snippets folders.

Note: if you don't see a Styles folder, that just means you haven't created a custom formatting style, so there's nothing to back up there. You can skip straight to uninstalling.
