Sorted it out.  There was a sign-in box that was hiding behind the SSMS Window. if i closed  SSMS, the boxes would also close so it took a while to find them / comments

I have just changed my password o0n the network and now when I try linking to the VisualSVN Repository , it fails.I can connect OK through Browser, so I assume it's a credential in SQL Source Control

Thanks.  Turned out my project was pointing to the wrong database so thats why refresh schema wasnt working. My bad. Sorry / comments
