can we turn off transactions in smart rename

I use a lot of synonyms with linbked servers and i have to commet out the transaction statements in the generated SQL from Smart Rename to prevent errors.

Is there a switch somewhere to turn off transactions?

    Hi, thank you for your forum post.

    When you use Smart Rename feature of SQL Prompt, the script generated to do the rename does include transactions.

    Sadly there is no feature to turn off the use of transactions.

    The workaround is to manually remove or comment out the transaction statements.

    I recommend that you submit a feature suggestion in the SQL Prompt UserVoice forum using this link.  Depending on the number of comments and votes the topic receives, will increases its chances of being included in a future version of SQL Prompt.
