SSMS 21.3.6x Not recognizing databases

Hello,

In SSMS 21.3.6x and Source Control version 8.0.1.21017, in order for databases to show green as under source control I have to open Source Control, then refresh the server in the object explorer.

Doing this once on any server seems to fix it for all other servers.

    Thanks for bringing this up. The dev team were made aware of this and their response is:

    We have analyzed the issue and identified that this is expected behavior of SOC in SSMSv21.
     
    In SSMS v21, the initial loading behavior has changed. As a result, the SOC page does not auto load when SSMS 21 starts. This affects the initialization of certain events responsible for updating icons. Now (SSMSv21 onwards), these events get triggered when the SOC page is opened manually or the SOC button is clicked.

    In saying this, you will need to continue your method to show the green icons going forward.
