Overview
We are aware of an issue where upgrading to SQL Server Management Studio 22.3 causes the application to crash on startup when either SQL Search or SQL Prompt is installed. This behaviour has been escalated as a priority to our development team.
Current Status
We have identified the root cause of the problem and our engineers are actively working on a fix.
At this time, there is no known rollback version of our tools that is compatible with SSMS 22.3. As soon as a version or workaround becomes available, we will update this article.
Recommended Workaround
To restore a stable working environment, we currently recommend rolling back SSMS 22.3 to an earlier version of SSMS 22 where our tools function as expected.
Next Steps
A fix is in progress, and this article will be updated as soon as a new release or patch is available.
