Changes to SQL Clone In-Product Updates and Notifications

Affected product versions: 5.4.21 or earlier

Due to changes to the In-Product Updates feature for SQL Clone, it's recommended that you update to version V5.5.0.6743 or later to continue receiving In-Product Updates and notifications.

What does this mean?

In-product updates are the easiest and least disruptive way for you to ensure that you're using the latest version of SQL Clone. Due to modifications to the In-Product Update feature for SQL Clone, after October 14th 2024 if you're not on version 5.5.0.6743 or later, you'll need to install the latest version of SQL Clone manually to receive updates on new security fixes and improvements.

You may have already received correspondence informing you of these planned changes.

How to update SQL Clone to version 5.5
Open SQL Clone and click on the ‘update to version 5.5’ link on the banner at the top of the screen. Or click this link to download the V5.5.0.6743 installer.

Additional information

If you modify your SQL Clone Images using SQL Data Masker during Image Creation, you'll also need to update your SQL Data Masker installations to V7.1.41 or later. The current latest version of SQL Data Masker is V7.1.47.82 which can be downloaded using this link.
