Many thanks for your query. I'm afraid we can't offer services for troubleshooting issues in your environment but only support for Redgate's products. The following article is hopefully a good place to start with subsequent links to information on metrics in SQL Monitor. https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/sql-server-performance-and-activity-monitoring/dashboards-and-overviews/server-overview-pages/performance-diagnostics-queries-and-waits If you click on either of the graphs you should get the the Analysis page with more information on the metrics you'd mentioned. [image] [image] Hopefully this will be helpful in understanding and diagnosing the root cause of the activity you're seeing. Please let us know if we've misunderstood your request. / comments

Hi Peter, The custom metric page you've linked is quite an old one and functionality in the alerting has now progressed. Please find the following article to the out of the box alerts, both long running query and unusual job duration are continuous and so depending on the threshold set within your system should be adequate for the scenario described for alerting prior to a job/query ending. https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/metrics-alerts-and-notifications/metrics-and-alerts-reference/list-of-alerts#Listofalerts-LongRunningQueryLong-runningquery Appreciate we dealt with this on another support ticket but didn't want to leave this forum post unanswered. / comments

Hi Jens, Hopefully the following article provides some clarity on the setup of Monitor we would recommend for this scenario - "Set-up when clients require access to SQL Monitor". https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/installation-and-setup/multiple-base-monitor-installations/msps-providing-clients-with-visibility-into-sql-monitor In this case each customer could then use their own active directory authentication (or not) with read-only access allocated. Please let us know if this doesn't answer your query. / comments

Hello, At present this isn't possible on the Analysis page (currently performance metrics). If you'd like to see this here I would suggest raising this request on the UserVoice site, votes on these suggestions can help prioritise future features! You might be able to get a idea of this, depending on the time period, using reports. https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/sql-server-performance-and-activity-monitoring/estate-information-and-reports/reports/creating-configuring-and-downloading-reports
Alert summary – Shows a breakdown of alerts for the current and previous periods by severity (High, Medium and Low) and alert type. Hope this all makes sense, please let us know if not. / comments

Hi, Looks like we also have a support ticket open for you for the same issue which my colleague Sujay has been working with you on to diagnose and resolve. @DonFerguson suggestion above will certainly get your access restored but if I could ask you to answer the support ticket providing the requested information and logs to aid in finding the root cause that would be great. Switch the authentication mode back to the default: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/troubleshooting/can-t-log-in-to-sql-monitor-with-active-directory/incorrect-service-account-credentials For setting up AD authentication: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/adding-sql-monitor-users/authenticating-with-active-directory / comments

Hi Patrick, Although we don't charge for you pulling down data Azure probably will. It might be better to have a second base monitor in Azure on an IaaS machine to monitor your other Azure VMs. There are some costs for data within Azure but believe these to be less. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/pricing/#product-pricing / comments
