Hi,
I am happy to say that the answer isn't no. At least not entirely. As you can see in the article below you can change the highlight color by going to Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors. From there you can change the Refactoring Current Field color to your choice. Changing this to white should make it almost entirely non-existent.
Changing the Code Analyses Highlight color
Hope that does it!

Hi Evan,
Could I ask if you have previously had any of those versions of SSMS installed? If so, would you please reinstall that version, uninstall SQL Search, uninstall the older SSMS and then reinstall SQL Search? That should do the trick!
Apologies for the hassle.

Hi,
Sorry to hear updating has been such a hassle! We did release v10.0.1 recently. Would you try updating to that to see if it fixes things?

Hello,
Could I ask if you have already tried the following and, if not, to give it a try?
would you try deleting any files in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files\\Red Gate\\Shared Client that look like ".rgupdate_bad_xxxx", and then try running the installer again? If the above fails, the next suggestion would be to run netsh http show iplisten from a command prompt running as administrator to check whether 127.0.0.1 has been setup to listen to. If there’s no entry for 127.0.0.1, please run the following: netsh http add iplisten 127.0.0.1
Thank you! / comments

Hi,
This might be an obvious question but I think it's worth looking at: do you have SQL Server Data Tools installed?

Hi Ron, You can use the SQL Statement generator to get rows from another table (in that database or any others). Here's some documentation on it:

Hi cginther, sorry to hear you are running into issues! Could I ask you for the version of SSMS you are trying to install the tools on? And have you ever had them running in the past, or is this the first time you're installing them? If you have successfully used the tools in the past, was that on a different version of SSMS? Sorry for the interrogation! If you are trying to get the tools installed on SSMS 18.2, and have had them running on a previous version I might have to ask you to do some juggling with installing and uninstalling SSMS and the tools. In the meantime, though, you could try installing via the msi:
Launch the installer by running it as administrator
Once it loads, click on the Redgate icon at the top left of the installer and choose "Open temporary file folder"
Open the folder of the tool that you are trying to install and locate the included .msi file
Open a command prompt running as administrator and then run the following (note: you should install via the command--double clicking to run the .msi directly likely won't work): msiexec /i "c:\temporary\file\path\<Tool>\<msifile>.msi" /L*V "c:\logfile.log" ADDLOCAL=ALL
If this installs without error, open the tool to confirm the install was successful.
Please let me know how you get on! Kind Regards, Martin / comments
