Regarding the error log I would use sp_cycle_errorlog to reduce it back down again. Checkout http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms182512.aspx for more information on that. Regarding the trace flags, not too sure, need to investigate further. I'll ask DKJ to look into it. Regards David / comments

Hi FatherJack, We have tried to reproduce what you have said, however we had no problems with custom filters and shortcuts when upgrading SQL Response to 1.2. Can you email me your client OS that you are using to see if we can replicate your issues here. Thanks for the comment about the domain name for the service account. Hi Dan, Yes you are right the Alert Repository Service generates SQL and WMI queries periodically to each server in turn. (The sample rate can be modified via an XML configuration file.) We are constantantly looking at the SQL & WMI queries that we generate to ensure that they have low impact on the SQL Servers that are being monitored. (So for example for multiple SQL instances on one machine we will only request data such as Hard disk space once. You can use SQL Profiler to see what we are doing.) We have tested upto 80 SQL Servers here. (Most of these SQL Instances were running simulation SQL loads.) However if you do run into performance issues I would recommend that you install multiple Alert Repository services and then switch the UI between the different Alert Repositories. I hope that helps. Hi there fatherjack, SQL Response 1.2 will have column sorting for most of the grids (including Index fragmentation) in the details panel. I like your idea about copy to clipboard too. Thanks David / comments
