This error usually occurs when you're using SQL Express (which isn't recommended) as it has a hard limit of 10gb. If you use SQL Express, you'll need to set short data retention windows for SQL Monitor, such as one week for data you want to view trends for, and three days for troubleshooting data. You have a practical limit with Express of 10–15 monitored machines. / comments

I'm sorry that the purchase page is misleading by having you choose a duration, we're looking to clear this up. Hi ReneWesterveld Thanks for your post. To use the Redgate Platform you will need a subscription license for SQL Toolbelt Essentials. The Redgate Platform is not available for perpetual licenses. From what I can see you currently own a perpetual license which is why you're unable to access it.
