Rerunning the findstr...
Tried:
findstr /S /C:"pk_t_meter_clean" *.*
from a command prompt at the root of the SSC Tortoise SVN folder structure.
ZERO HITS
Suggestions as to what to search for or additional /<option> settings?
I also just expanded the database folder in the repository and it does NOT reflect what I applied to it on Monday of last week - it looks just like the OLD DB schema. Appears there's a more fundamental corruption caused when I (apparently successfully) applied the schema updates.
Do you suggest unlink-relink? Or what?
NOT a SVN officiando, BTW, merely a User.
Thanks. / comments

Sorry to see you go, Dmitry.
I've been a user of about 80% of the SQL tools for over 7 years and, yes, there have been some frustrations, but overall, having looked at and evaluated all the competition, Red Gate's tools are IMO, yes IMO, the best value for money and the most comprehensive.
Hope you find support by the other vendors up to your high expectations. I have tools from three other vendors and their support is worse than Red Gate's and their availability, even for a US Company calling a US Vendor, much worse, too.
Enjoy! [image] / comments

Hi Dmitry,
As a sometimes-frustrated fellow bug-reporter, I've found that if ANYONE posts a reply to the initial post, Red Gate's nightly post-crawler doesn't pick up your post and automatically add it as a case, which WILL get attention.
Thus, if someone replies and you don't get a timely response from Red Gate, either:
Post it again as a new thread, preferably late on Friday as few folks will see it and reply over the weekend. [image]
Email RG support directly, referencing the post - they are very responsive to direct approaches.
Call the support line, referencing the bug and post. To NON-RED-GATE posters:
Unless you are offering a SOLUTION, REFRAIN from posting a reply to an INITIAL post reporting a bug! WAIT until Red-Gate has responded, then throw in your two-cents-worth, please... / comments

I'll know in a few days...
Hi Chris,
Until your post I was unaware of the dot-release but have begun to install it. I followed Peter Yeoh's advice to create the timeout DWORD and initially set it to 60 seconds, which I upped to 80 seconds a few days ago and timeout backup failures have ceased.
It may have been "environmental" as the network at Rackspace has given us tons of timeout issues, typically on Windows authentication requests and sometimes on SQL Monitor pinging the cluster. Taking 90 seconds to change a Windows password is molasses and a further indication of environmental factors contributing to the issue.
Will see how the new release performs...
Cheers! / comments

Thanks for your explanation, Priya. The fact that the Alert stays in effect through the succeeding jobs that may also exceed the threshold confirms that, at least for me, an of-necessity DBA, having the Alert as an Event-based Alert is going to make me aware of the issue as against an Alert that is raised on a Sunday and stays in effect throughout the week, then stays in effect with no further "Job Duration Unusual" Alert to prompt me when the following Sunday's job also exceeds the norm. The original issue I had was with a daily job and another with a weekly job. A continuous Alert serves me poorly as I have plenty of other Alerts and tasks to perform to have to remember that, potentially over a week ago, I had an issue with the Sunday job.
I hope this kind of scenario, not uncommon I would venture, can be used as collateral when considering providing the option to alter this to an Event Alert.
1 vote hereby cast for this enhancement.
