Microsoft Fabric support?

Are there any plans to support Microsoft Fabric warehouses in SQL Prompt?

    Hi @dpurdy

We don't have any plans at present to support Microsoft Fabric Warehouses but this could change next year. I recommend asking again in a few months time.

No immediate plans. We're working on support for Synapse at the moment and Fabric Warehouse should come after that.

How about any plans to support Fabric Lakehouse sql analytics endpoints?

@Victoria W, can you let me know about this? I’m connecting to the analytics and point via ssms and I can see prompt attempting to load the database objects. It stops loading as it can’t find a master database associated with the server. Any workarounds?

    Hi @Joeb_csl

We have no immediate plans to support Fabric Lighthouse.

Can I add to this request.  I really would like to see support for Fabric Data Warehouse.  Currently SQL Prompt gets stuck reading the master database.  I don't really need 100% SQL prompt support but it would be nice to at least have it suggest object names, especially given the annoying case sensitive collation in Fabric.

You can add a feature request to the SQL Prompt UserVoice forum if you wish:

Another vote for Fabric support.  Our teams are using it and we'd love to stick with RG Monitor instead of finding another product.

Yes, would luv to keep using sql compare but if not supported for use with Fabric Sql endpoints there is no use for that tool or licenses.
