none of tabs in ssms for sql prompt are opening except sql history

has anyone had this issue? im using the most recent version of ssms which is 19.1.56. it opens on my old jump box just fine, which is using ssms 18.12.1. i noticed 2 new tabs in my toolbar called sql test and sql source control. the version of sql prompt on my old jumpbox only has sql history and sql search.

    Hi there,

SQL History is part of SQL Prompt. SQL Test, SQL Source Control, and SQL Search are separate tools. Did you happen to install those on your machine with SSMS 19.1.56?

Yes i believe i installed those when i downloaded the redgate software for my new jump box. i agree they are different instsalls and tools. I was just curious why those did not work but sql history and prompt work for ssms 19.1.56

When you say "they do not work", are you getting an error message when you click on them or does it say you're in trial/unlicensed?

when you click on any of the tabs, nothing works or opens. no error message, just nothing happens at all. like i said i can open my ssms 18 on my other jump box, and sql search opens right up. I just want to know if its a compatibility thing or if something is actually wrong with the funcitionality.

Can you uninstall those two products, then reinstall using the installers below?
    https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLSourceControl/SQLSourceControl_7.6.27.17805.exe
    https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLTest/SQLTest_4.1.9.2726.exe

The latest versions should be compatible with SSMS 19.1.56.

Thank you for your help. that fixed it. i ended up removing all the software that was not licensed for my account. sql search still was not working, so i went and downloaded most recent version from redgate and now that is opening as well. it looks like there was a visual studio error being suppressed on the previous version.
