Monitoring snapshot databases?

Hi, have found in extended logs exception that SQL Monitor constantly failing while trying to get info of snapshot database log file.
Could not locate file '2' for database 'MyDatabaseName' in sys.database_files. The file either does not exist, or was dropped.

As snapshot DB doesn't have log file, could you fix this check not to generate exceptions, thanks?

    Hi @gopogoc

What version of SQL Monitor are you using?  And to confirm, have you created an Extended Events log file that is capturing this message or is this in the SQL Server errorlog that you are seeing this message?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

Hi, current version of SQL Monitor is:
Version 11.0.5.3446 (Updates available - SQL Monitor 11.0.9)

Errors are captured in events log file, catching  Exception type of Error and Warning,
it is also catch able on Profiler on SQL server that SQL monitors and if you have database snapshot

    Hi @gopogoc

Thank you for that! We can see this happening as well and I have raised SRP-13561 to track the issue but currently I have no eta for when any change may be made to address this.  I will update here when I have further information on the team.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
