Recording Agent Job duration

I'd like to be able to record the duration of some of my SQL Agent Jobs. Was wondering if anyone else had done this in SQL Monitor and how they went about it.

I was thinking of maybe a custom metric but that would mean one per job.

    Hi Crimdon,

    You may be able to make use of the "Job duration unusual alert" as described in this article.

    Otherwise you could possibly create a Custom metric if you can get a query to return the duration as a scalar value. That approach would probably be one custom metric per job.
