Licensing information for shared versus dedicated mode

Hi All

Looked for this information elsewhere, but couldn't find it: I am trying to ascertain the difference in cost between running SQL Source Control with a central shared DB and local dedicated DB's.

In dedicated mode where each developer has his/her own local copy of the DB, is a SQL Source Control licence required for each developer machine?

Whereas in shared mode, it seems that only one SQL Source Control licence is required. This seems like a large difference in price - or am I missing something?

SQL Source Control is not licensed based on what SQL Servers you're connected to - it's licensed per user, whether in shared or dedicated mode.
