I have sent you a PM with a link to a patch for SQL Compare on our FTP site.

Many apologies - I mistakenly read your forum post as concerning SQL Compare. We have identified a problem with SQL Data Compare 7.1 and the developers are working on a patch for this which we expect to be released next week. I'll keep you informed.

Hi Mike,
Can you please run SQL Data Compare with the /verbose option, and see if you get more information about the problem? Specifically, there should be a stack trace pinpointing which operation is failing.
Thanks!

First of all, great piece of software!
I have two databases on the same server (sql 2000). I try to compare them against their backups. There is no problem wiht the smaller one (2GB), but when comparing the bigger one (40GB) i get following error, when comparing this DB with its mirror on the second server there is no problem, so i guess there is something wrong with the backup file. Do you have any idea where to look for solution?
thanks in advance
Mike
