save named sets of tables to compare

Quite often I need to compare data in different sets of selected tables (ie. set 1 = table a, b and c, set 2 = table d, e and f). Right now data compare allows to select all or none (in the tables and view tab) in the project configuration window. It would be helpful if it was possible to save different configurations (=sets of tables and views to compare) within a project. Does it make sense?

In SQL Data Compare 5 or 6 you can setup projects. These can be used to set up different tables to compare exactly as you describe I believe.

I know, however, I was thinking about grouping tables in multiple sets within a project

I can't think how that would work to be honest. If you can describe how you'd ideally like it to work I'd put it in as a future enhancement. Projects is the best we can do in that way at the moment.

BTW We launched SQL Data Compare 6 this morning :D

Try it out - you know you want to (we deal with projects in a more file based manner - you choose when to save them etc.)
