when scrolling thru candidate list cursor

I use sql prompt 2.0 in SQL query analyzer, when I scroll down the candidates list using the arrows on the keyboard and if I scroll pass a page or so the cursor on query analyzer goes to the next line

for example

I type

"select * from" and the cursor is here next to from keyword and I get the list of candidates and scroll down using arrows and if I scroll down like 25 or so tables names then select one by tabbing out once the table name is higlighted the cursor that once next to FROM is now below SELECT and the table name is below select as well....

like scrolling thru the list of candidates moves the cursor.....

is this happening for someone else.....doesn ALWAYS happened but it does....not a big deal unless I have something under the statement I typing because then it wipes out the line under where I'm typing and replaces it with the table name or column name depending on the candidate list objects.

    Hi,

Sorry about the problems you're having. I'm afraid we don't support SQL Prompt 2, so you'll have to wait for SQL Prompt 3. SQL Prompt 3 is a complete rewrite and I'm pretty confident that it does not exibit your problem.

Hope this does not come off as too cranky, BUT.

That is a pretty crappy answer in a forum that is titled "SQL Prompt 2". If I got that response from a representitive of a company it would probably encourage me to buy a competing product. If you (Red Gate, not personally) do not wish to answer questions or have input on Prompt 2 maybe you should eliminate the forum.

    Hi,

Sorry if I was rude. What I meant was, we don't support SQL Prompt 2 in the sense that we are not going to fix any bugs. Which is fair enough for a product that's given away for free, I think, and considering the imminent release of SQL Prompt 3.

We do support SQL Prompt 2 in the sense that we try to answer questions concerning the product that do not require fixing bugs. For an example of the sort of questions i mean see this thread:

    http://www.red-gate.com/messageboard/vi ... php?t=3638

Having said that, we do make sure that bugs reported here are not repeated in SQL Prompt 3. Any feature requests are also welcome.

    Apologies again,

    Tilman
