DC generates script with multiple drop/add FK constraints

SQL Server 2000 SP3
Data Compare 5.0.0.2003

When comparing two DBs I noticed strange behavior of Sync wizard: I start sync wizard, save sql script, cancel sync wizard, and reopen sync wizard again. Then the sync wizard is creating duplicated drop/add statements for some of the FK constraints. If I repeat this opening/canceling sync wizard I get one more drop/create statment each time.

Such sql script will fail ofcourse.

If this is a known bug I hope it will be solved soon, if not then I can post some more info and/or screenshots.

    Hi Peter,

this is a known issue in SQL Data Compare 5. We are hoping to get it fixed in SDC 5.1 to be released in May 2006.

Thanks for pointing it out to us though :)

    Tom,

I am using DC 5.1.0.106, and I am seeing this same issue. When running a compare, the same FK constraint was in the SQL script 3 times, both for the DROP and the ADD. This only happened for one constraint, though; the rest of the FKs appeared to script just fine.
