If you find that you're experiencing excessive SSMS Integration Pack 3 (SIP3) log growth having just updated to SSMS 18.5, you will need to upgrade SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare to the latest versions.
This was caused by changes in SSMS 18.5 that apparently sent many events to a trace that is sampled by SIP3 that they didn't previously - this doesn't occur in SSMS 18.4.
You can delete the log files that have been generated to free up the space. These are located at %LocalAppData%\Red Gate\Logs\SSMS Integration Pack 3.
