Does this mean, Kurt McCormick , that the dev team are not planning to fix this? My team have all migrated over to SSMS 21 today, and they are, unsurprisingly, finding this somewhat confusing. / comments

The documentation says that a release for the GA version is coming “soon”. I, personally, wouldn't expect a release today (on a Friday), and I do wonder if it'll be Monday with it being a Public Holiday in the UK (depends where the devs are based). It does look like it's imminent though, admittedly, as there's a “borked” 10.17 release notes link on the Release Notes page. Honestly, I'm fine with waiting a few days after the SSMS release for the Redgate tools release; I'd rather they do good internal testing first, and give us a good product, than a buggy one. / comments

SSMS 21 is a completely different “beast” to prior releases; it's based on the full VS environment and is 64bit. The old versions won't work with it because they aren't true VS extensions and are 32-bit. Red Gate did post about their plans though; I doubt we'll see anything until the final release, or just before. / comments
