I had a similar experience. The drift was caused by a third party vendor that made over 300 changes which basically hung the system for almost two days. Finally, it allowed us to make a version acknowledgement. This is a critical tool for a small shop without a lot of resources to follow up on a third party vendor that is known to make undocumented changes. Thanks Steve, you are a GREAT champion for causes like this that really do help with a better automation of processes. The DLMDashboard along with the SQL Monitoring has saved us hours of tracking down problems created by third party vendors. Our CIO has been excited to see the tremendous ROI this has provided to our non-profit company. / comments

How about a way to increase the refresh time so we can get an acknowledgement completed? Someone has got to know where the code is that can change that either in a configuration or the registry. / comments

How change I acknowledge a very large change?
The system keeps refreshing before it accepts the acknowledgement. How can I change the refresh time or acknowledge the change? Is there a backdoor into the database to acknowledge the change? This wi...
I see where the needed permissions are given in the documentation https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm7/getting-started/requirements/permissions but why has no one at redgate thought to create a script so that as I add server instances to the monitor I only have to run a user script to create the user that has all the right permissions to run the monitor without having to have sysadmin rights. I can not find a script that already has been written and all I need to do is put in the user account for our domain to use. / comments

Thanks Sam for the comments but in talking with Redgate it seems I need to put in a future enhancement request. I really wanted a way to take the information from the Data Compare that shows the tables and views with the columns that were added, removed, or changed datatype from the third party vendors database from the version we were using in production to their latest database version. They have a nice format but unfortunately there is no way to export that view and the reports that are given by SQL Compare and SQL Doc are not as clean and take lots of manipulation to get the same information.
To have to take the HTML report, take a screen snapshot of the change, mark it and send to to a developer to check his code is a ton of work on a database with 277 table changes. Almost as bad as having to type a copy of the information that is sitting right in front of me on the screen from the Data Compare table and Views tab. Very frustrating. Glad I have some place to vent! [image] / comments
