So can't find the most recent time you executed a proc to rescue a proc that someone else overwrote without trawling and collating the order ourselves. as Keith asks - what version do we need to rollback to to get less 'advanced' search for the moment please? / comments

Hi @kalo This is a known bug which we're working on but we have a workaround while we're waiting for the new release. Please can you close down SSMS, navigate to %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10\ and delete the file "SqlHistory.db", before then relaunching SSMS (you won't lose your tab history in doing this), you should see this functionality restored. I'll let you know when the new version is available.
Hi - thanks for suggestion. However, I have followed these steps and Tab History is still not showing anything. I can see in the folder that a new SqlHistory.db file has appeared slightly smaller than before. Of course for a long time it's not been clear if the search in tab-history has actually fired - so i'm a bit blind to whether it is searching and taking a long time or not searching at all. I presume it's the latter because i'm giving it plenty of time before i give up. (Also once the tab-history is up you have to wait as it will close if you happen to click outside of it.) For the time being, i've cut my SavedTabs and SqlHistory to a folder on my machine elsewhere and then opened Tab History again. This works although i obvs haven't got immediate access to my history. So i can at least see what i ran from earlier today onwards. Once fix is released -hopefully i can revert to my bigger history / comments

Installed SQL History 10.13.0.31319 this morning - seems to solve the issues I've been having with SQL History. It also introduces SQL History as a tab within SSMS (the pop out window is still available by clicking the history icon in the bottom right of this tab.)
Thanks - was going to ask if anyone had validated this release. That's great if it's no longer just a pop-up that disappears when you accidentally click outside of it. Don't suppose anyone know it it is possible to merge a tab-history saved prior to rolling back version to the tab-history db maintained over last few weeks? / comments

Same issue. I have my "SavedTabs.db" on OneDrive (referred from RedGate_SQLPrompt_CommonUI_Options_TabMagicOptions.xml). RedGate_SQLPrompt_CommonUI_Options_TabMagicOptions.xml has not been modified by the installation, and SavedTabs.db still has the same file size. So assuming that history is still in there. But nothing is shown in SSMS. Workarounds mentioned above do not work.
Hi - would you mind sharing you managed to do this [point to onedrive rather than local drive - just mapping]? I tried a while back and kept being thwarted - always worried if my laptop goes kaput i'm going to lose my precious history! / comments

Hi @kalo Apologies, but this issue is still being worked on. We don't have a release just yet. Once there is an update, I'll make sure to post on this thread letting everyone know.
Hi, is there any timeframe for an expected fix for this. At the moment i'm always having to bat away the prompt saying there's a new version for me to update to. Often come quite close to forgetting why it is that I have to keep saying remind me tomorrow. If this is a problem that's not affecting everyone is there something i can do my side to get my setup to work with the latest version? regards, James / comments

is there still no fix for this?- having downgraded back in October i've now started getting pop-up 'send error message' type dialogues and having updated to latest still getting the 'you haven't permissions to access the database' nonsense message. / comments

I'm getting the same error with version 7.4.7.16362. Azure not involved so not sure why it's saying it can't access the database. Has been working previously for a good while. Just through an error when I tried today, noticed there was an update available so installed that, after that now got the "SQL Source Control can't access this database" error. Tried unlinking control and then relinking but still get the same error.
Kalo, I reached out to Redgate support. They said the current version has a bug and provided me with the previous version that resolved my issue. I would recommend the same. Good luck!
Thanks - trouble is I updated to latest in this instance because i was already getting a different error, so haven't got time to go backwards at this point. Might need to if we have an internal release date prior to any fix though! / comments
