Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, still no luck. When I deleted the file I was unable to run the update by clicking on the gear icon within SQL Backup. The error referenced the missing DLL. I rebooted the server and tried again, but received the same error (see below). Should I just remove SQL Backup and re-install it? HKSQL: Server Component Installation - Failed ============================================= Copy SQBServerSetup.exe to server - Successful This operation completed successfully. Run setup on server - Successful This operation completed successfully. Start SQL Backup Agent service - Successful This operation completed successfully. Check installed versions - Failed The SQL Backup extended stored procedure DLL version is 5.3.0.178, and 5.4.0.55 was expected. Check SQLBackup extended stored procedures - Successful This operation completed successfully. Delete setup file from server - Successful This operation completed successfully. Hi Michelle, I experience the message "502 tables or views that could not be compared". I can choose to Remap the Table or View. If I do that, then I have to assign a comparison key for all 502 objects. Bob / comments

I have SQL Response and the Alert Repository on one Windows server. It is monitoring a single SQL 2005 server and causing the monitored server's CPU to spike to 100% frequently. I'm not sure if this is related to this issue or a separate issue. Once I stop the SQL Response service on the Repository server, the CPU utilization drops. / comments

Thank you for the clarification about the wildcard versus using specific database names. When I did edit the job in SQL Backup and saved it the two deleted databases did remain in the job file on the server. We're in the process of migrating off of this SQL 2000 server. It has been problematic. I'll keep an eye on this issue on SQL 2005. / comments

Hello Peter, Thank you for the information. I do not fully understand your first statement about a different database name list. All databases that do still exist on the server are successfully backed up. Only the deleted databases cause the overall job to fail. I can edit the job manually using Enterprise Manager; however, I thought that SQL Backup would take care of it especially when I re-edited the job and the deleted databases were no longer part of the list. / comments
