Hi, I'm one of those people that don't get a snippets file. My PC at home just died (the OS only, fortunately) so I cannot try there. Here, at work, I'm on a P4 2.66GHz AT compatible, 640 MB RAM DDR PC with Win2K Professional, working with SQL Query Analyzer v8.00.194 (and SQL Server 2000 v8.00.2039, on WinNT 5.2 SP1). The three of the Red Gate's directory is: ...\Red Gate\SQL Dependency Viewer 2.0 ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3 ...\Red Gate\SQL Dependency Viewer 2.0\Application Settings.xml ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt\Cache.OLD ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt\Options.xml ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\078dc7c2c74342938a7aa2c0c55e9035.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\10122b7c48fb4ec2bf55d05db3f906ad.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\5b1ddeee7d15405bb442f9ada2d7ccc3.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\69fba4316f7c4a0fb9fddef1935314aa.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\99690a5bac8248d48cd14e330bf23d85.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\a883d49c74a94de38c11583b86e9032f.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\c8ff6f58a89e4387941af663d210b880.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\efd72ed11aee46a3b83f8dbbe560d9ce.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\EngineOptions.xml ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\f77d476cf5814016ab66f260630ccd38.dbcache ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\TrayApp.ini ...\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\UIOptions.xml Please note that, although I have other directories (and the associated software installed), I only use SQL Prompt 3, I seldom use the other apps (actually I can't remember when was it that I used the Dependency Tracker). Hope that helps. P.S. If you see any weird extension (e.g. OLD) it's probably some kind of backup I made, for one reason or the other. / comments

Suggestion: Code Indentantion
I think the title is enough, but... it would be good to be able to keep the indentation level between lines, that way It's easier for us to write anything (SQL statements, SP, etc.) The bother of ...

I hate to say, "it happens" [image] Tilman wrote: Right now I would like to know where does v2 store this text (and also where does v3). v2: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Prompt\Options.xml v3: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 3\SQL Prompt 3 Snippets.xml There's a problem here (at least with my version). I cannot find this file, and it seems SQL Prompt never writes the snippets: I closed everything, deleted the .DBCache files, and restarted Console and Query Analyzer (incidentally, I needed to start SQL Prompt 3 manually) and the snippets were gone (again) Tilman wrote: Edit: It would be also well received if I was able to edit an existing snippet by double-clicking on it. Do you mean double clicking on it in the candidate list, or in the options dialog? In the options dialog (didn't think in the candidate list) I have to say, I think this is a way better version than the previous one, that didn't even looked as an alpha (IMO) --or maybe I was just expecting too much, and for this version I wasn't  / comments

The so asked feedback
Well, I continue to receive these emails talking about SQL Prompt 3, it's pre-order price, and also asking for feedback, so here it is. I just came from the SQL Prompt (2) forum, and people seem to...
