Well, I continue to receive these emails talking about SQL Prompt 3, it's pre-order price, and also asking for feedback, so here it is.

I just came from the SQL Prompt (2) forum, and people seem to be asking for the same thing: correct it, make it better. I have find myself this is a really useful tool... in theory, because in the practice, it does not work half as I would want it to. It sometimes work, at the beginning, but then something happens that it feels like not doing anything anymore, it losses the alias (context?), or what not.

As for the version 3... what can I say? I cannot remember a case when I felt down so much with a software that I didn't even found the words or strength to write anything at the time. Yes, it was an incomplete version, but hey, it should work! That's what we are suppose to be testing, how it works! And now you keep (and keep, and keep) saying I can buy it for just $99... wow! That marvelous piece of software I just get the opportunity to try. No kidding.

So, my conclusion? I decided not to depend on (use) this tool. It will just make my day a frustrating one. I really think you should come up with a new and functional alpha/beta/whatever version again so that people like me can change their mind and take seriously to buy something like this ($195?? I won't, ever).

Well then, feedback given. Now I will see how can I get rid of those darn emails. And just in case you didn't get it, I really hated this so called alpha version, but thanks for the opportunity to check it by myself.

    Hi void,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I agree that the SQL Prompt 3 beta was probably not up to beta standards and I apologise for that.

Sorry also that you are feeling spammed by us, that was not our intention. To remove yourself from our mailing list, please send an email to sales@red-gate.com stating that you no longer wish to receive emails from us.

There will be another release for you to test before the final release. Also, the final product will come with a fully functional 14 day trial. So you wont have to buy SQL Prompt 3 without being able to give it a thorough check, first.

    Kind regards,

    Tilman
