Hi Nick,
As you can see in the forum we get lots of requests for this and we will certainly be looking at ways we can make it easier to work with offline in the future.

Hi there,
Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do to stop it from happening right now. We will be getting our usability experts to look at Reflector over the next few months and we should be able to clean up plenty of issues like this.
In the mean time you can bring the search dialog backup quite quickly by pressing F3 - I know its not ideal.

Yep!
Sorry I was away for a the past few weeks so haven't been as on top of replying here as I would like to be [image]
As covered in a previous thread, there are no historic release notes but we will be putting some in-place for future releases of Reflector (5.1.4.0 which was released a few weeks ago had only two small bug fixes and we changed the expiry date of the build to next march).
As for obfuscation - Lutz made the decision to obfuscate Reflector several years ago. We have not changed this since taking over Reflector. I'm not overly sure we are ever likely to change this although if there is a good reason to then we will have a think about it.
Sorry for not answering this thread earlier,

Hi Trezor,
Thanks for the feedback, as you can see elsewhere in the forum lots of people are asking for the same functionality. We will be taking a long hard look at the update mechanism over the next few months and will try to solve some of the current problems with it from the user's point of view.
Thanks,

Hi Ronald,
Thanks for the suggestion. There is a slight ambiguity which worries me about analyzing a single member - if you have a look at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.ComboBoxStyle.GetDropdownStyle(); There is a cast in there from an int to a comboboxstyle - it theory this uses every part of the enum although ComboBoxStyle.DropDown is the only one mentioned explicitly in there - would you expect this to be a use of ComboBoxSyle.Simple?
Thanks,

It should be on your file system somewhere. Try looking in the bin folder of the project you are working on. If it's not there right click on the referene in the solution panel of Visual Studio and it should tell you the location of the file there. You can then drag and drop it into Reflector.

Hi Bill,
You need to add the System.Web.DynamicData.dll to your assembly list and look in that assembly rather than the System.Web.dll assembly.
To do this goto File -> Open Cache and type in System.Web into the box at the top. Wait a while (mine took a min or two) and you should see the System.Web.DynamicData.dll assembly appear.
You can then explore the assembly and see the System.Web.DynamicData namespace.
Hope this helps,

Hi there,
Sorry these are not on our website yet. The changes to 5.1.4.0 are minimal. The current version (5.1.3.0) was due to expire at the end of October. The new version will now expire in March next year.
The other main change we have made is to sign the executable with an authenicode signiture to make it easier to stop the unsigned messages on Windows Server and Vista. There are one or two small decompilation fixes in there but nothing significant.
We have also moved the update location to a higher bandwidth server hopefully making the update process quicker under high load.
We are currently working on putting together a plan for some more significant releases and welcome any requests for feature ideas.

Unfortunately this doesn't exist right now [image]
As Red Gate produces new versions of Reflector we will keep an up to date list on our support site.
Sorry I can't be of more help, although if you have a specific query I will do my best to answer it.

Hi all,
Randall emailed us this morning to inform us Microsoft have found the issue with his machine which was causing Reflector to crash. He had a bad font file (in his case CZTsans.ttf) which caused .NET and Reflector to crash.
It might be worth trying to remove non-standard fonts if you are also suffering from this issue and then adding them back one at a time (running Reflector each time) to see if you have this same issue.
