It looks like you've run into a bug that was in release 4.0.1 of the client. This has now been fixed so can you please try the following steps?
Close any Redgate Products
Stop the service named 'Redgate Client'
Delete the contents of the following folder %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Red Gate\Shared Client
Navigate to Programs and Features and run a repair on one of your installed Redgate products.
Reopen the Redgate product (the service should restart automatically but if not you may need to start it manually).
Regards

Hi bermudaLamb Please can you try the following:
Close down SSMS, browse to %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10\ and rename the file "SqlHistory.db" to something like "SqlHistoryOLD.db" and then relaunch SSMS
Update SQL Prompt to the latest version (If not already): https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/SQLPrompt_10.14.8.6563.exe
After this, try and run some queries, close SSMS, reopen it again and then check to see if it has saved the queries. / comments
