Hi Tomas,
I think you've already got a ticket open with us, but I'll put my answers up here as well in case anyone else has the same questions in future:
1. In general, change indicators let you know that an object has changes to commit. Change indicators with a white center mean that an object has been dropped from the tree - we can't put a white change indicator on the object in question, because it no longer exists.
2. We don't current have any object locking in SQL Source Control, but we're working on a few ways we might implement that. Currently, if two developers are working on an object at the same time, there's a chance of conflicts - here's an article on how SQL Source Control deals with that: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... /Conflicts
3. There's a few things that could cause TFS synchronization to be slow - are you on a VPN or is it at a remote location? Do other clients connect OK? How many developers do you have connecting at once? / comments

Hmm. We've had a report of this before (this forum thread: http://www.red-gate.com/MessageBoard/vi ... hp?t=14228 ) but it doesn't look like we ever got to the bottom of it.
If SQL Source Control is failing at the 'sending files to source control' step, then the error returned is an error directly from Perforce, so I'm not really sure what could be causing that. There's a few things like this on their forum that seem like they might be relevant: http://forums.perforce.com/index.php?/t ... attribute/
My best guess is that there's something going askew in how Perforce is dealing with checked out files, but that's as far as I can really speculate - I'm afraid I don't have a huge amount of experience working with Perforce. I assume you're using the config file provided to work with Perforce - it might be worth trying the 'Working folder' option and manually checking in changes with the Perforce client to see if that works any better. Here's our documentation about how using the Working folder option works: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... ng+folders
Hope that helps a bit! / comments

Hi Joseph,
I noticed you never got an answer here, sorry! It looks like that ought to work - have you tried using the multi part identifier for the table name instead, like [dbo].[CustomMigration]? I've tested this a couple of different ways (with/without multi part identifiers and guard clauses) here and they all seemed to work, but it's worth a try. / comments

We do actually have a dedicated forum for SQL Source Control feature requests here: https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39 ... ce-control
We'd really appreciate it if you could post this on there, and vote on any other features you'd like to see implemented in SQL Source Control. Thanks for your feedback! / comments

Hi!
First off, SQL Source Control appending _v1 to the end of the change logging objects is expected behaviour, and nothing to worry about.
Regarding your second problem (Unknown users at the Commit tab) - we know that there are problems like this, but we've so far had trouble reproducing them reliably here on site. We've been looking for users who would be willing to receive Beta builds, try them out for real and send us diagnostic information (things like screen shots and trace files) while we try and sort this problem out - would you be able to help us out with something like that? We've got a backlog of other work on the tool planned for the next month or so, but we’d like to start in April. Let me know if you'd like to help out! / comments

I've passed all your UI feedback on to the devs - thanks for the detailed feedback! We're looking into it to see how best we can ameliorate the situation.
As far as the SSMS crash goes - we've heard about a couple of cases in which SQL Source Control brought down SSMS when users were switching between tabs and moving them about quickly, but we never found anything we could reproduce for testing. I know it's really inconvenient, but can you reproduce the crash at all? If so, can you let us know the exact steps you went through? / comments

Hi Raghav,
This isn't an error we're aware of - the latest version works OK on my system (Windows 7 Enterprise, SSMS 2008 R2), so it doesn't seem like it's something to do with your environment. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the software, making sure to right-click and run the installer as Administrator?
You can download the installer for the latest version of SQL Source Control (3.5.4.332) directly here: ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/sqls ... .4.332.exe / comments

Hi Tadhg,
There's not really a way to do exactly this in SQL Data Compare - I guess we'd recommend that you first update Table1 from the source database so that you can be sure to maintain referential integrity?
Alternatively, you could create a view containing all the important fields in both databases and compare that? Do either of those options sound practicable in your environment? / comments

When it fails, what does the error say? At what point in the process does it hang? If you could send any screenshots to support@red-gate.com and quote the ticket number #8365 that'd be really helpful - thanks! / comments
