Hi, thank you for your message and sorry to hear you're hitting issues.
It would be really helpful if you could:
1. Turn on verbose logging (instructions below)
2. Recreate the problem
3. Send in the log files (mysql@red-gate.com)
Verbose logging instructions: (the example listed is SQL Data Compare, but it's the same process in Data Compare for Oracle) http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/c ... _log_files

Hi there, sorry for the slow reply.
We released several fixes on Tuesday (23rd) in the release 1.0.0.759.
If you get the chance to upgrade (Help -> Check for updates) it would be good to know if the problem persists. In any case we're taking a look at the outstanding issues in the tool at the beginning of next week, so thank you for the logs.
Have a good weekend,

Hi,
Thanks for your message and apologies for the slow reply, this slipped under the radar.
You can connect manually and via TNS (using your TNSnames.ora file).
Are you referring to Windows authentication? Or perhaps OID?
We recently had a request for OID which I posted on our feature request forum: http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/174 ... ct-via-oid

Hi James,
Unfortunately not. Thanks for the request though, it reminded me I've been wanting to set up a public feature request forum for our MySQL tools, which I've now done: http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/210413-mysql-tools
I've taken the liberty to add your request, no doubt others will add votes and comments for it over time. This will help us prioritise future work on the tools and find people to discuss solutions with.
We have no confirmed plans for additional features at this point, but I'll update the feature request and notify you if that changes.
Out of interest do you own the tool or are you evaluating options?

Fantastic, thank you for letting us know.
That's a really nice idea, I'll add it to our ideas for the next version. We don't have confirmed plans as yet though. / comments

Thank you for doing so, my apologies, it seems that was the entire error message after all.
I think you've worked it out, MySQL Compare requires minimum rights of 'select' for Tables and Views, and 'execute' for other objects like functions and procedures. (Naturally more access is required if you wish to then run the deployment script.)
It doesn't seem clear to me on the MySQL Workbench site whether they require lower permission levels than that.
Is granting feduser select permission on that table an option for you?

Hello,
Thanks for your message. I've not seen that before, but it seems from an initial search that the rest of that error message could be useful (e.g. http://pento.net/2009/05/05/dont-forget ... ed-tables/)
To get it would you mind turning on verbose logging, recreating and sending the files in to mysql@red-gate.com?
Details on how to do so here (it's the same for lots of Red Gate tools, the images shown are for our Oracle tool): http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... +log+files
Thanks again,

Hi Melissa,
Queues and queue tables aren't yet supported, how many of each do you have?
Here is our list of currently supported objects types: https://documentation.red-gate.com/page ... Id=6750392
Are there any other object types you use not included there? If you could let us know the relative importance of each that would be very helpful.
Best regards,

I'm afraid we currently don’t compare table or column comments, but thanks for requesting it.
For anybody else interested in this feature, please vote for it here: http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/174 ... ns/3845204 / comments
