Thanks, Brian, I'll give that a try.
We purchase annual support and upgrades for all of our licenses, so upgrading to V6 isn't too big of an issue for us. However we need to do some careful planning for the upgrades. We have 19 SQL Backup licenses that are used on several SQL Server instances. We backup, copy and restore .sqb files multiple times every day, so we need to be aware of backward compatibility issues. I guess V6 not being backwards compatible to V5.x doesn't surprise me too much.
Thanks again,

Can't restore V6 files onto server with SQL Backup V5.x
I made a couple of backups using SQL Backup V6 and then moved the .sqb files onto a server that's still running SQL Backup V5.4. V5.4 SQL Backup does not recognize the V6 files.
Do I have to instal...
Peter, you're a genius! I had the physical server name rather that the virtual server name entered before the instance name. That fixed it!

I successfully installed SQL Backup v5.1 onto both sides of our active-active cluster. However, when I try to "Add a SQL Server" it doesn't connect and I receive this message when I pull up its properties:
"An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. While connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)."
We are running SQL 2000 on this cluster, not SQL 2005.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,

To install SQL Backup v5.1 on an active - active cluster do we have to do anything special, or do we just install it on both sides? / comments

It's installed on 1 of the 3 instances on Node-B. Here's our setup:
Node-A - Inst1
Node-B - Inst2; Inst3; Inst4
SQL Backup is installed, and runs nightly, on Inst1, and Inst2. Inst1 failed-over to Node-B, and SQL Backup failed because it couldn't find the xp_sqlbackup.dll. / comments

Can you use sqb2mtf if you have split the backup files?
If you split the SQL Backup into two output files, can you use the "sqb2mtf" to get a useable, native, backup file?
e.g. If I have xxxx_backup_1.sqb and xxxx_backup_2.sqb can I use the sqb2mtf comm...
