Hello Mr. Shah,
I believe what you're asking for is something that we've been referring to internally as "projects" -- ie, a way of remembering the lists of scripts, their execution order, the target databases and other settings, for easy re-use. This isn't currently supported within SQL Multi Script 1.1, but is something we're considering for a future release. However, it's currently possible to drag and drop scripts from Windows Explorer into SQL Multi Script; so if you are able to easily identify the scripts within Windows Explorer (eg, have them all together within a folder), then this might be of some help.
At the moment, I'm running a survey to collate feedback from as many people as possible on how they use SQL Multi Script, and how they'd like to see it enhanced in the future. If you have a few minutes spare, please add your views and opinions to the survey -- it's at: https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=fRLJ8ET4RKa8Ea80cgiQSQ_3d_3d (this survey is mentioned in a forum post here).

We're referring to this internally as 'projects', since we have similar functionality in SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare. This is another feature that we're considering for a future release.
Thanks for the input!

Hi lozzamoore,
The feature you describe has definitely been 'approved', in that it's something we want to do. We don't currently have a date for the next release of SQL Multi Script, but as soon as we have one we'll update the public roadmap here.
Note that SQL Multi Script research is on-going, and I'll be running a survey shortly on this, which will hopefully confirm my findings to date.

Hi webrunner,
You can choose to apply either the v3.10 patch, or to upgrade to v4.2, irrespective of your support status. There are some minor performance / data collection implications if you upgrade from v3.x to v4.2, but in exchange you get the features in v4 (eg, wait stats). The implications of either upgrade option are described at http://www.red-gate.com/products/dba/sql-monitor/entrypage/security-vulnerability, if you scroll towards the bottom of the page.
New features in v4 are described in the release notes at http://documentation.red-gate.com/display/SM4/SQL+Monitor+4.0+release+notes.
Hope this helps,

I was wondering if someone can tell me if I can use SQLBackup with an SAP database. I know that it is technically possible, but I have heard that SAP are very particular about 3rd Party products touching their systems.
Just to add to the other postings: SQL Backup only accesses SQL Server data through supported APIs. As such, I can't imagine why this would cause any issue with SAP.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the post. We're still planning the next version of SQL Backup, and so I can't as yet confirm whether or not this feature will be added.
I'd be interested to know how you're currently backing up to tape -- eg, do you write single backups to tape as they're completed, or do you batch them up? If you have the time, please feel free to post a reply or send me a private message.

Thanks for the suggestion Petro -- we'll bear this suggestion in mind for future releases of SQL Multi Script.
It would be interesting to know a bit more about the numbers of databases you're administering at any one time, if you've time for an off-line email exchange on this please send me a private message.
