Hi,
I am sorry you are facing these issues on installation.
Have you disabled UAC only for installing the product? If so, this can cause problems with registry settings.
I would suggest you to uninstall Prompt from your Add/Remove programs, then start Management Studio - Tools - Customize - Click on Reset and say Yes to the confirmation dialog. This will remove the SQL Prompt menu from the toolbar. Exit from Management Studio.
Do a fresh installation of SQL Prompt. Bring up your command line interface and use the following regasm command to register Prompt for Management Studio.
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe /codebase RedGate.SQLPrompt.SSMSUI.dll
Now try to start your Management Studio and that should hopefully resolve the issue. Revert back to me if you have any issues and do let us know if it resolved your problem.
Thanks,

Hi,
I am not really sure I understand which window are your referring to here.
Is it the Prompt candidate list (the window displaying all the suggestions) or is it the schema panel (a window giving the SQL script of the chosen object in the candidate list) or something else?
Thanks,

Hi John,
There was a small glitch in the fix we did for the 'Run As' issue last time that causes the bug to happen again. But we have positively fixed this issue in the latest v3.8 release that is scheduled to go live in a week or two.
Excuse us for any inconvinience caused.
Thanks,

Hi John,

Can you let me know the version numbers of these products that you have installed on your environment please?

Hi,
When you say create a new stored procedure in project, do you open a query window to do it or is there some other way to do it?
Tried following the steps you have mentioned; however I tried to create a stored proc by right clicking the project - add a new query and it all seems to be working fine.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
I have tried to write some nested stored proc following your style on the AdventureWorks database and it seems to be prompting me SP and also the SP option is enabled in the CL.
Can you pm/post in the forum the script that gives you the trouble?
Thanks,

Hi,
SQL Prompt does not require a restart after installation and so that should not cause any issues. But if you see this problem again try to manually refresh your cache(either from the Prompt menu - Refresh cache or using the shortcut key - CTRL+SHIFT+D) to see if that resolves the trouble.
Thanks,

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately this release does not include any such feature. The only alternative to stop those automatic prompts is to enable manual triggering and then the CL will not come up unless you press CTRL+Space to bring it up.
Thanks,

Hello,
There is no way to remove any entries from the candidate list but we have fixed this issue for our next version[v3.8] that is scheduled to release sometime around late April or early May.
Until then to avoid the problem maybe you could remove the 'Spacebar' choice from your completion keys option (SQL Prompt menu – Options – Pop-up behaviour – Completion keys - Uncheck 'Spacebar' and use 'Tab'/'Enter'/or anything else that you are comfortable using as completion key) that would help you stop completing suggestions inadvertently?
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
Thanks,
