Hi Jeff,
In the meantime you might also want to take a look at this http://dotnet.org.za/ahmeds/archive/200 ... 44562.aspx
which suggests using the lodctr command from a command prompt. The lodctr /r command only works on Windows Server 2003; with XP (and presumably Vista), it appears you need to give it a file to restore performance counter settings.
Lodctr is documented here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 55887.aspx
Hope that helps,
Thanks,

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the hassle. It looks like there is a bug in the .NET FCL here, however I think we might try to handle it slightly more gracefully!

That really doesn't sound like version 4 (it doesn't show that warning if an application exits abnormally). When you ran it did it look anything like this? [image]
If not you might want to give it another go. It does install side by side with any existing install of ANTS Profiler 3. Also the Memory Profiler in the v4 beta has a few problems which we're aware of.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Bart

Hi Paul,
You should find that just closing the code view will fix your problem. I think I'd put in the fix to stop the code view repopulating whilst its hidden in the last public build, but if not it'll be available in the beta.
Hope that helps!
Thanks,

Hi Paul,
As always, thanks for the feedback. I think we might have something for you there. The beta will include the ability to bookmark regions you've selected on the timeline, so you'll then be able to flick between them using just a mouse click. We'll also be adding the usual next/previous bookmark shortcuts.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,

Hi Alex,
As James said, that should be fine. You might notice some slightly odd behaviour if you try to actually run them both at the same time so I'd avoid that if you can. We're planning to looking at this issue later on in the project.
Thanks,

Hi Pete,
Go to SQL Prompt > Options on the main menu bar in SSMS/QA or whatever editor you use. Now go to Listed Candidates > Candidate Ordering. If you uncheck "Display exact matches at the top of the candidate list" you'll find that IS doesn't get pulled to the top of the list in this situation.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
