Not a bad idea, I'll log this and add it for a possible future feature.

How big is the database you're indexing? 5 minutes is a very long time for SQL Search to index, it's usually pretty fast.
So on schema changes if you refresh the search (by pressing the button or ctrl + alt + D) then you should see the refreshed changes.
If you need more info about how to find the size of your databases let me know and I'll fire you some queries to run. I'd be interested in the number of objects and the total text size of the database. / comments

So you mean when you drag from object explorer into a code window it pastes the name of the object into the code window?
This sounds like a good idea! What other kind of ways would you want to interact with the results? Is there anything else you would want to see in there as a feature? / comments

It's not possible yet to search in SSIS but it's also something we have logged as a possible future enhancement.
We did have some stability issues around SSIS and SSRS so if you do come across any while using SQL Search then let us know.
Thanks again for the feedback [image] / comments

Currently we're not searching anything in the SQL Server Agent. I'll definitely add the request to the feature list. Are there other people who would like to see search results returned from the SQL Server agent? Please let us know! / comments

Ok I've tested this today no the same setup and I can't reproduce the problems you're having [image]
Can I suggest if it's possible you try installing it on another machine to see if you have similar issues? If you don't then maybe we can get someone to remote into your machine and take a look. It definitely shouldn't be affecting SQL Prompt and that is a fair sign something strange is happening. / comments

Well that's very strange. Certainly not expected.
Can you provide your operating system version and what SSMS version you're using? It certainly sounds like something strange is going wrong, have you got a different machine you can try it on? / comments

Thanks for giving us some feedback.
So first of all try connecting to a server with a database. Then with that database highlighted in the object explorer you should be able to press the search button or Ctrl + Alt + D to search that particular database. Please let me know if you have any more problems. / comments
