How big is the database you're indexing? 5 minutes is a very long time for SQL Search to index, it's usually pretty fast.
So on schema changes if you refresh the search (by pressing the button or ctrl + alt + D) then you should see the refreshed changes.
If you need more info about how to find the size of your databases let me know and I'll fire you some queries to run. I'd be interested in the number of objects and the total text size of the database. -
depends how you measure big ... 10k objects in sysobjects. No idea what the size would be of an empty copy though. Some of the 'programmability' objects are pretty complex though.
It finished not long after I completed the post, probably about 6-7 minutes in total.

This leads to to wonder - how does SQL Search refresh when schema changes have taken place?
