Hi Andy,
Clearing your local data cache should remove the corrupt SQLite database. You can do this by deleting C:\Documents and Settings\[LOGON USER NAME]\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Backup\Server Data
The issue isn't directly related to the server name. SQL Backup has a table linking existing server names to cache databases. Everytime you add the server, sql backup tries to use the corrupt database and raises an exception. By using an alternative dns name, a fresh cache file is being used.
Hope this helps,

Unfortunately SQL Multi Script currently doesn’t support scripts which are encoded using a local code page other than ISO Latin 1 (ISO-8859-1). There doesn’t seem to be an easy work around to convert your scripts or a quick fix that can be made to SQL Multi Script.
I've logged this as a bug and I hope to fix this in a future release. / comments

Multi Script currently only supports script files encoded as UTF-8 or Unicode. ASCII scripts with will be loaded as UTF-8.
This is probably causing the issue you are seeing with Arabic scripts.
You can either save the scripts as UTF-8/Unicode encoded text files or copy and paste the continence of the scripts into the Multi Script script editor.
Viewing Arabic results and messages in text mode seems to be slightly broken, but displaying results and messages in grid mode seems to work fine.

Hi Todd,
Set the results "Display" pull down to "Grid:" rather than "Text:"
Click the "Save..." button above the results
This will save your results as a CSV file.
Is this the sort of thing your were looking for?

Hi PDinCA,
First of all, thanks for giving SQL Index Manager a try and taking the time to send us your thoughts.
I agree that management tools break down in to two rough categories. Policy driven monitoring and scheduled style tools for pre-emptively finding issues and preventing problems, and point solution tools for interactively detecting and fixing a problem now.
The current version of SQL Index Manager is pitched firmly at the latter, both in scope and in price. It's been a great way to find out what people need from a maintenance tool. Some users really appreciate a simple "run it when I need it" tool while other are definitely more attracted to automation and monitoring based approaches to maintenance.
Once again, thanks for the feedback,

Hi Screenshot,
Unfortunately SQL Multi Script isn't currently scriptable itself.
You might be able to rig up something to meet your needs using the windows scheduler and the sqlcmd command line utility: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170207.aspx / comments

Hi David,
Thanks for letting us know about that. It's amazing what's hidden in SSMS.
Unfortunately we aren't planing to make any updates to SQL Multi Script in the immediate future.

Hi cyates04,
SQL Multi Script doesn't support SQLCMD variables. We have rough feature parity with SSMS which doesn't support them either.
Thanks,
