Hi,
This is the link to the help which lists all the data collection method which SQL Monitor uses along with simple tests to check whether they are configured correctly or not. http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... 269935.htm
I can assure you that monitoring a server behind firewall is our top priority. We have this in our roadmap and this will soon get improved in one of the point releases.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
Apologies for the error.
Which of the two service is failing? "SQL Monitor 2 Base Monitor" or "SQL Monitor 2 Web Server"? Could you please email the log files to priya.sinha@red-gate.com? They are located at C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Monitor 2. Please send it from both the web server and base monitor machine.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
No, SQL Response V 2 shouldn't have caused this issue. SQL Response V 1 and SQL Monitor V 2 can work in parallel.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,
Thanks for your post. Yes, we do run some WMI queries for some data collection. Though we are using WMI much less in V 2 than we did in V 1.
The load on the server we monitor is almost negligible/ none. Also, we do not install anything on the servers that we are monitoring.
The best place to give feedback about SQL Monitor would be this forum or via email to eapresponse@red-gate.com.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
SQL Monitor does store historical data. You can view all these information over period of time via the Analysis page. We do show some basic stats also. Having said that we do not do any trending on that data yet.

Hi,
I would suggest trying looking for RedGate.SqlResponse.AlertRepository.Service.exe process in task manager. If you see any entry for RedGate.SqlResponse.AlertRepository.Service.exe then end this process. After that try restarting the Alert Repository service again.
Thanks,
