I would just like to express how much I despise this forum UI.
Why can't I make a new question from a forum page? I either have to back out to just Support > Community or click on a specific question.
Why doesn't the topic selector use the same nested layout as the forums? Especially given that half of the Topic items are outdated versions.
Why is there no indication as to whether I've read the post before? How about a way to indicate if a question has been resolved?
Why not put the date of the post or last comment somewhere close to the title? I would especially like this when browsing the list of question titles.
How come I can't flag things as spam anymore? I can only downvote. Comment Actions only shows Permalink, and if that's legitimately the only option, why isn't that just a button in the first place? And if score is supposed to be some sort of quality mechanism, why isn't it shown more prominently?
Why is everything so small? I have an ocean of whitespace on my monitor, but it feels like everything is huddling together in the middle. Boundaries could be twice as large and still have space. Or there's really nothing that could go in a side pane? Like the links back to my profile?
Actually, speaking of whitespace, the pure white backdrop I think makes things worse. Not a soft gray? The buttons are the only thing in color.
I'm sure there was some reason to make a change from the prior forum setup but I don't understand why this current state is deemed satisfactory.
