Which version of SQL Search are you running? The latest currently is 3.7.2.5316. If you could also confirm the version of SSMS that you are running.
Assuming you are on the latest version and running SSMS 19 or 20, could you close SSMS, then try navigating to %localappdata%\Red Gate\RedGate.SQLSearch.Addin 3\Indexes, then delete the indexes for each DB. Next open SSMS and open a SQL Search window and go to Index>Re-index,. Then allow a few minutes for this to finish and then try to search your DB objects.

The SQL Search no longer finds the databases to filter or search since the update 10.16.5.15563. The feature is no longer usable and returns no data since no database exists.
