Silent Install options

Hi,

We would like to do a silent install of the Sql Data Compare and Sql Compare tools via the command line when setting up a server for the first time. Is there any documentation on the various command line switches available? Also, can the products be registered during installation as well?

    Hi Jim,

    You can get the Bundle to install silently using the standard MSI commands passed through InstallShield:
    C:\>bundle.exe /V"/qn INSTALLDIR=\"c:\program files\red gate sql bundle\" REBOOT=Suppress"

    The product activation, however, cannot be done automatically. If you have to deploy the bundle to a lot of users, I do have a command line utility that can be run to automatically activate the products over the Internet. If you'd like a copy of this, please email me at support at red-gate.com and I'll send the executable and instructions.
