I use Ctr K Y regularly , probably more than the menu options , I have seen no problem
I have a SSMS isntance open most of the time unless I reboot , maybe that has an impact

That's some interesting behaviour! Not having keyboard shortcuts would make me very sad
A quick google threw up this : http://blog.hoegaerden.be/2009/01/25/ss ... t-working/ which might be worth a go? Which version of SSMS are you using? -

thanks for the feedback.
Certainly changing the Keyboard Scheme setting in Tools|Options|Environment|keyboard dialog to standard has resurrected the Ctrl K key combinations that I had lost but that doesnt explain why it might come and go during the day... possibly some obscure other key combination???
At least I can turn them back on when they go AWOL on me now.
thanks

Each day for the last few days I have had the Ctrl key shortcuts expire on me part way through the day. Some of them function when needed and then later in the day they have no effect what so ever. Ctrl K, Ctrl Y is a popular one with me and is currently not working (luckily Ctrl B, Ctrl L from SQL Refactor is doing an admirable job in its place) but more annoyingly Ctrl K, Ctrl C is not working and that is a SSMS shortcut to comment a line of code (Ctrl K, Ctrl U to uncomment is also having no effect on my code).
The SQL Prompt 4 menu option to 'Format SQL Ctrl+K, Ctrl+Y' does layout the code.
Ctrl, Shift + D to refresh object suggestions works from the keyboard still.
Is anyone else having these problems? Has anyone identified what triggers the behaviour?
Regards
Jonathan
