Hi there,
Can you try the suggested steps in the following article and let me know how it works for you?
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

Thanks for the suggestion, however this did not work.
After removing the shared client folder under Programdata, the Redgate client fails to install.
"Service 'Redgate Client' (RedGateClient) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
The msi was run from the Administrator prompt, and run as administrator from Windows file explorer. Both with the same failure. No trouble installing other unrelated services.
What can I do next? Now, in the Services section, the Redgate Client fails to start with error: "Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified" -
Hi @Seanm99
Can you do a complete uninstall of the Redgate Client Service, then reinstall it? You will likely have to remove the registry files to do this. I would recommend you backup the registry before making any changes. -
Thanks Chris,
I have it uninstalled from the "Add or remove programs" section. Where else on the computer or in the registry would I have to remove it from? I have already removed it from the shared client folder under Programdata. Can I remove all references of "Redgate" from the registry? -
Hi @Seanm99
It's not necessary to remove all things Redgate, just Redgate Client.
Then try to reinstall a Redgate tool.

Windows could not start the Redgate Client service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I'm not able to use any tools, and I can't uninstall them either, just hangs.
Please help.
