    Hi @martin_kerkhoff

Thanks for reaching out regarding your questions regarding Redgate products & SSMS20

As of right now, SSMS20 is not compatible with our products. We are working on this and will let you know when they are compatible.
    https://productsupport.red-gate.com/hc/en-us/articles/17700853190045-SSMS-v20-and-your-Redgate-products

We would suggest continuing to use SSMS18 or other supported versions of SSMS until our products include support for SSMS20
The SSMS20 installation doesn't upgrade or replace SSMS 19.x and earlier versions. SSMS 20 installs alongside previous versions, so both versions are available to use on your device.

This is being worked on by our product development teams and we would anticipate SQL Toolbelt products such as SQL Compare should start having support for SSMS20 included as part of a not-too-distant update.

    Hi @martin_kerkhoff

I'm happy to report that our tools now support SSMS 20.

Unfortunately, SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare are not working with the SSMS 20 upgrade posted above.  When will the SSMS 20 integration package be available?

I rely on these tools working so I can do my job efficiently.  That's why we pay for them.  Please resolve ASAP.

    Hi @mdullni1

The SQL Compare/SQL Data Compare extension in SSMS is not yet compatible with SSMS 20. This is currently being worked on by the developers.

You will need to use SSMS 19 for now if you wish to use the extension, but the standalone tools should still work as normal.

I was able to add SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare as External Tools in SSMS 20.

Just give it a Title and add the path to the exe file in the Command field: C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Gate\SQL Compare 11\RedGate.SQLCompare.UI.exe

I did this for Data Compare too and was able to successfully compare databases between UAT and Production.
