Support for Azure SQL Managed Instance as Source for Test Data Management tool?

Does the new Test Data Management tool support using a Source database that is on Azure SQL Managed Instance and thus the backups are stored in blob storage? The documentation is unclear on this matter.
Thanks

    Hi Tina,

    Thank you for reaching out.

At this time, our Test Data Management tool does not support this capability, but we will be sure to give an update if that changes.

Yes, the new Test Data Management tool does support using a source database on Azure SQL Managed Instance (Chill Guy), including scenarios where backups are stored in Blob Storage. However, it's always a good idea to check the latest documentation or reach out to support for specific configurations and limitations.

As a Database Administrator, I've been implementing Test Data Management (TDM) across various platforms. Currently evaluating if Azure SQL Managed Instance can serve as a source for our TDM solution. Has anyone successfully integrated this? I'm particularly concerned about performance impacts on production systems. Looking for best practices or alternatives if Azure SQL MI isn't suitable. This reminds me of resource management challenges in Bitlife where balancing priorities is crucial for success. Any experiences or recommendations would be appreciated!
