It would seem the bracket pairing is working strangely

In 3.9 if you have a function and a pair of () , when you enter text within the brackets and add a final bracket ) if its already exists its ignored , in V4 it adds the extra bracket and hence a syntax error.

Quote pairing

If you have the option set up for Special Characters to add the ending quote as you start a quote , it seems to ignore it . The same seems to be the case for ( , [ . /* and "

Other than that its looking good , seems a bit quicker than 3.9 if anything

This is in SSMS 2005

    Hello,

    Automatically inserting the closing characters and validating them features are not yet done on the EA build and so the issue. However, it will be sorted for the release build.
